ABC has announced the renewal of the crime drama series Will Trent for a fourth season, with new episodes set to be released in the USA in early 2026.
Will Trent, starring Ramón Rodríguez, will not be a part of ABC’s fall 2025 lineup. Rather, the network confirmed that Season 4 is set to be released in midseason, potentially January 2026. This is in line with the show’s pattern of midseason premieres and comes after the Season 3 finale, which aired on May 13, 2025.
This new season will be comprised of 18 episodes and will continue to follow Special Agent Will Trent and his team as they take on some of the most difficult cases. Special Agent Will Trent and his team continue to have complex storylines. ABC chose midseason because it wants to offer consistency in airing.

While the exact date is yet to be revealed, they can expect further developments in 2025. Other than that, the other previous seasons can be streamed on Hulu and Disney+.
Will Trent continues to be one of ABC’s most viewed drama series and has been lauded for its interesting characters combined with ABC’s complex and engaging narration. The main cast will likely reprise their roles but has not confirmed cast details as of yet.
The adaptation of Karin Slaughter’s books still manages to capture attention and critical praise, thus solidifying its spot in ABC’s future programming.
