With filming underway in Pasadena and Altadena, California, the release for the third season of Apple TV+’s comedy-drama show “Shrinking” is looking to be in late 2025.
In an announcement made on the 21st of March, the show ‘Shrinking,’ which is created by Bill Lawrence, Jason Segel, and Brett Goldstein, is set to have its third season after ‘Shrinking,’ which was released in March 2023, came to astonishing success. The main cast, which includes Jason Segel, Harrison Ford, Jessica Williams, and Christa Miller, will resume their roles, and fresh cast member Jeff Daniels will join the cast as Jimmy’s father, creating new storylines for the show.
Sources have claimed to still not have an official date for the premiere of the show; however, it has been strongly suggested that it will be in fall 2025, around October or November, assuming production schedules go as planned. It is clear that this is a much shorter waiting time compared to the prior season, which saw a 2023 release delayed due to industry strikes.

Co-creator Bill Lawrence described the theme of the third season as “moving forward,” which builds on the show’s treatment of grief, acceptance, and healing. The new season will still center on therapist Jimmy and his colleagues, who are dealing with changing relationships and various milestones in their lives, with all major characters projected to return.
“Shrinking” has been recognized for the balance of humor and heartfelt storytelling, captivating audiences and critics since its debut in January 2023. The series is still a mainstay of Apple TV+’s original programming portfolio.
As production gears up toward the expected premiere in late 2025, fans can anticipate more updates from the team, including the possibility of a trailer.
“Shrinking” has been based out of Los Angeles, which is an asset to local communities recovering from recent wildfires. Pasadena and Altadena’s commitment to the show bolsters the region’s economy and showcases a unique connection to the area.
