The reality show Deadliest Catch has been a huge success in the USA and is expected to come back for season 21 in June 2025 on the Discovery Channel.
Deadliest Catch Season 21 will film in the early parts of 2025 and will continue the trend of following Alaskan crab fishermen as they navigate through the treacherous Bering Sea. Although Discovery Channel has not officially announced the release date, they do tend to follow a template, and history suggests a June 2025 premiere is possible.
Season 20 had a premiere date of June 2024, so it would make sense that recent seasons have had a spring/summer release. Thankfully, crew members and camera operators posting on social media further reliable information claim production is well underway.

Famous crab fisher Johnathan Hillstrand will return as captain, where he will face Hairy and Phil, now battling on the Overkill. There are a ton of story lines set up for these characters, which is another reason Season 20’s finale was very anticlimactic.
As always, the goal is to provide the audience with as much information as possible while also ensuring the remaining seasons feel authentic and true to reality. Now all of the achieved seasons are available to be streamed on Max and Discovery+.
The estimated return of seasons 21 and 22 is projected to be in June of 2025. Episodes will most likely air during primetime television slots, and streaming services will be made available soon after. Although there are no exact dates published yet, watchers should anticipate episodes to start being released around the summer of 2025.
